Edam Cheese

Edam Cheese does not have a relatively high fat content, and as a consequence is relatively soft. Usually made in a spherical shape and covered with a red wax, traditionally used to preserve the cheese whilst travelling. Edam does harden over time, though does not spoil, and is easily transported, due in part to the protective wax coating.
