Asparagus White

White Asparagus is very popular in Europe, and is the same green asparagus which is augmented through a process known as blanching. In which the plant is covered up with soil as it grows, thus eliminating exposure to sunlight and not allowing photosynthesis to start, so the shoot remains white.
