Allspice

Allspice is the dried fruit of a tree originating in southern Mexico and throughout central America, the leaves of the tree are also used in cooking and the wood of the tree is used for smoking fish and meats. The spice is used as a flavour enhancer in many cuisines especially Caribbean for both savory & sweet dishes.
